Self-Managed registrar tag · Nominet KREVIUM

Filed, renewed and let go by the same person.

Stanislav Sauliak trading as DROPREG holds a registrar tag on the .UK register and files names under it in his own name, for work of his own. There is nothing to buy here and no name is registered on anybody else’s behalf. What this site is for is being reachable: if a name on this tag is doing something it should not, you get a person, within 2 working days.

What the tag is

A category, not a shop and not a badge.

Nominet sorts registrar tags by what the holder actually does with them. This one sits in the category for people keeping their own names.

Names in his own name

Every entry under tag KREVIUM records Stanislav Sauliak as the registrant, for 1 year at a time. Nominet calls this category Self-Managed.

Nothing registered for others

No .uk name is registered, renewed or administered here for another person. Nothing to join, nothing to log into, nothing to order. Nominet publishes the list of registrars who do take that work.

Reachable in writing

Abuse, complaints and registry correspondence all arrive by email and are answered by one person. That is the whole purpose of publishing these pages.

How a name travels

Five stops from idea to deletion.

  1. Something needs a name

The name comes second. It is looked for because a project of his already exists and wants an address.

  2. The register is read first

Nothing is filed until the public record has been read. Free in that record means free at the moment of reading, and that is all it means.

  3. The entry goes in

Filed with Nominet under tag KREVIUM, with Stanislav Sauliak recorded as the registrant, for 1 year.

  4. It is kept straight

Nameservers set, registrant details kept accurate because the registry checks them, expiry date in a calendar somebody reads.

  5. Renewed, or let go

Before the date the name is reviewed. Either it earns another term or it lapses and runs the registry’s stages to deletion.

The tag on the record

Two facts to remember, and the rest in one list.

Quick answers

Things people usually ask.

Short answers to the questions that come up most. Anything else, just ask by email.

Can you put a .uk name on the register for me?

No. The tag is Self-Managed, which Nominet defines as the category for registrars who hold their own names. Registering names for other people belongs to its Channel Partner categories, and this is not one of them. Nominet publishes a list of the registrars who do that work.

Are the names here for sale?

No, and no price appears anywhere on this site. A name that has finished its usefulness is simply not renewed; after Nominet’s countdown it returns to the open pool for whoever registers it next. The timeline shows that countdown day by day.

Then why publish a website at all?

Because a tag holder has to be findable. Someone who meets one of these names in the public record and needs to report abuse, raise a complaint or write about a registry matter should be able to see who holds it and how to make contact. These pages exist for that and for nothing else.

Does anyone ask the registrant to prove who he is?

Nominet might, and that reaches this registrant too. The registry checks each registrant’s name and address against its own records, and where those records come up short it writes asking for evidence, usually photo identification and a document carrying the address. Ignore that letter and the name is suspended after 30 days, which stops both a renewal and any move to another registrar. The letter is genuine, it comes from Nominet, and the documents go to Nominet.

Could a name on this tag belong to somebody else?

Nominet allows a few and caps them hard: a Self-Managed tag holds names belonging to others only in numbers limited to whichever is smaller, 50 names or 5% of the tag. At present there are none.

Is this Nominet?

No. Nominet runs the .UK registry. Stanislav Sauliak is an independent registrar holding tag KREVIUM under Nominet’s Registry-Registrar Agreement. Nominet does not endorse, approve or recommend him, and nothing written here is said on its behalf.

Words you will meet

Six terms, in plain English.

Domain rules use a few special words. This is what they mean here.

Nominet
The company that runs the .UK domain register and sets the rules every registrar follows.
Registrar
Whoever files entries with the registry. Stanislav Sauliak files only for himself, which is what his tag type is for.
Tag
A registrar’s ID at Nominet. Here it is KREVIUM, and it appears in the public record of every domain looked after under it.
Registrant
Whoever a name is registered to. On this tag that is Stanislav Sauliak himself. Nominet says plainly in its terms that a domain is not property: a registrant holds a registration and owns nothing.
Self-Managed
Nominet’s label for a tag used on the holder’s own names rather than on customers’. Only one such tag is allowed per registrar.
WHOIS
The public lookup that shows a domain’s registrar and its expiry date.
